“The aim of the survey is to provide information about how many and to what degree local authorities in the UK are currently involved in international development activities. It also seeks to assess how many authorities are not involved in such activities, to gain a better understanding of the factors that are preventing authorities from doing so. Thus, the publication contains the following sections: Summary of results. Survey results: Level of response; Awareness and significance; Partnerships; Education and learning; Follow up; Comparison to 1997 survey. Conclusion.”
